Cats & dogs is a great album. Very slept on. I was never really into dilated but evidence's solo stuff has been solid

Evidence is definitely an amazing solo artist. probably one of my top 5 favorite emcees to be honest. Plus he also does Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Glad he's found a lane and is doing well.

He's found a way to be super honest in his music without being overly emo. Plus, he's stepped his delivery up big time, and is an amazing executive producer. He's arguably the best at accentuating his strengths while hiding his weaknesses. He's definitely learned from the best in terms of how to sequence an album, where to throw the guest tracks, beat selection, etc.

Can't wait for StepBrothers (the album is done, deal signed), and Dilated Peoples.

2013 will be official for fans of Dilated, Evidence, and Alchemist! "StepBros" and "Directors of Photography" both dropping!

EDIT: This interview is about a year old BTW. This was before they finished recording StepBrothers.

I've lost hope that we'll hear "Make It Mine" produced by Alchemist.

it was left off Cats & Dogs last minute, and Ev said on Twitter that he would drop it. But that was about a year ago, and the song is still MIA. Unless I'm missing something. If anyone has it, or knows if it dropped, throw it up here.

He really has stepped up his music over the years. I remember when he used to be heavy with the weather references (and a jab at himself with the new album) and was cool but nothing that needed a second lesson right away. I think now you gotta rewind the track a few times to fully catch all the meanings.

Very well said. It's an honest and relatable album. I've probably listened to this album more than any other album in the last 5 years. Definitely a personal classic for me

Honestly I don't know how I missed out on dilated. Back then there was so much good music it was hard to keep up with everything. i actually just copped their first 3 albums so I will see what I missed

Layover was decent, i havent fully listened to cats and dogs, but there was a point in that WLP where there were 7/8 straight songs of HEAT. You know how rare that is? Me and my boy were just waiting to skip a track and we couldn't.
