Actual question and comment:

"What can you say about your lack of catches?"

Holmes: ”I can’t throw it to myself and catch it, otherwise I would,” Holmes said of the 38-13 loss to the Titans last Sunday, when he had one catch for 25 yards. “I played 49 plays, and all I know is I had one catch. That’s all I can attest for.
I just have to do my part, which is the position that I’m playing, which is primary X receiver, and a lot of times I get double-covered, taken out of plays, so the progression and the read from the quarterback have to go elsewhere.”

nicks comment was taken the same way. these beat writers are desperate to come up with content everyday.

mehta showed some promise at first.. now i swear every reporter that covers the jets is only interested in painting the team in the worst light possible.

is this something that every team has to deal with?

Part of it has to do with who they are reporting for.

Manish was great when he started, due in part to him working for the Newark Star Ledger (which is on the up and up for the most part). Then when he started working for the Daily News (which cares more about gossip than actual reporting) is when it all started going downhill. All these paper just like to make unnecessary drama for views. They can't do it with the Giants, so they do it with the Jets.

It's not a coincidence that all the good Jets beat writers either get transferred and start covering the Giants, or just become terrible writers who turn to gossip and slander
