Facebook Embed Issues

I do not like this problem. This is a ongoing problem with the website. When ever a user posts a embed a facebook post, it shows up like the image below. Facebook is a billion dollar company. Wtf is wrong with them. is it facebook fault, or the colis fault?

I can't see that pic right but I agree. Whenever I post a Facebook link, the image cuts off or doesn't display correct. It's like you have to click the link and go to it. Not like ig or Twitter that show the tweet or image. I think it's more with them since it used to work before. Maybe they changed their embed capabilities?

the coli uses a mod that embed these, the issue is fb keep updating the way their site work so often that the mod developer cannot keep up, but he releases new updates whenever he can

but thats the reason for this

also if you enable ad block, fb posts with media tend not to show

Could that explain the cutoffs like this? Or is it because they only allow a certain embed size and fb post tend to be larger?

Y'all thought the Pokemon breaking free was an issue? This Pokemon a straight savage.

embed size isnt part of the mod, and i see that post in full without cut off

there is 2 things to consider
1- are you running adblock? if yes, turn it off and try again
2- are you on safari? (horrible on xenforo platform since xf uses certain codes that safari doesnt allow to run), try chrome or firefox

one of the two issues above is responsible for it...keep in mind i am assuming the coli is running the latest version of the mod

oh yeah thats another issue entirely lol

you need to understand the complexity of the mod tho...lets say you link a url by posting facebook.com/pokemongo.12123...now lets say facebook embed code for this url is facebook.com/embed.pokemongo[h.ref]...what this mod does is automatically convert every facebook url to the embed link...now what happens is, one day facebook changes their embed code which fukks up the mod

the same mod is used for every single social media link you know of..and he has to keep track of all of them...hard work

Gonna look to update the mod. If you have adblock on, try disabling it for this site. It tends to mess up embedded media.

I disabled my adblock program which is called ublock origin and that is a firefox extension. problem still exists. what is odd is that i am able to use Internet Explorer and it works fine

please do not tell me to revert back to internet explorer, breh

Hopefully the update solves it. Its Facebook always updating their coding & what not. Sometimes if I get that problem of stuff not showing up for me, I refresh and it shows...
