Social Media is devastating in some of these developing countries with Facebook being at the forefront I think it even comes pre installed on some cheaper phones in these places. Think of how easy folks fall for misinformation in the developed world, America especially and then multiply it x1000 and they also spend less resources on moderation of Facebook in other countries

I've watched a lot of otherwise smart and intelligent people become total right wing shills. Posting articles and stories from unreliable sources, never checking the credibility or author. Then when you call the out they double down. I was never one for saying FB, twitter, and other socials are bad, but it seems like a lot of gen Z, Gen Xers and baby boomers are fukked in the head lost in the sauce. They use social media as an echo chamber only now. It makes them feel important and like they belong somewhere.

These social media networks need to be regulated heavy. They are being regulated in the E.U. and its time for the govt to put its foot on Zuckerberg's neck.
