Yesterday in the middle of the Spurs-Clippers game 7, one of my brehs just starts staning the Spurs and when I call him out on it he tells me its because "they have so many foreign players". :why::wtf:
This has got to be one of the most bullshyt reasons for fair weathering a team I have heard in my life, which became even funnier when they lost. However I was not surprised considering his other favorite teams are the Cowboys, Yankees, and Duke. I just don't understand how these people's mind justifies doing shyt like this.

I have taken criticism frequently for being a Steeler fan in Houston, however I have extremely close family ties with the team as most of my family lived up there before passing away and one of my relatives formerly played for them. I am a Pirates, Penguins fan and as Pittsburgh has no basketball team, I ride for the Rockets.

My question goes:
How many of you guys have brehs who's team selection makes no sense and they have no reasonable explanation why? Also, do you call them on it or do you just laugh at them and KIM?

being a "fan" of any business or corporation is beyond ridiculous.

wearing another mans name across my back, whom i have never met and doesnt know/care about me, is beyond homo. am i that nikkas property? is he my pimp?

you have no real good reason of why you are a fan of the teams you support either. you will support a business for the rest of your life just because they hired (and then probably fired) a distant relative of yours 30 years ago or whatever?

i hate fair weather fans too, so i support the premise of your thread. my problem with them is that they just hop on the dikk of whatever team they think will win, which is lame. victory doesnt taste as sweet until you taste the bitterness of defeat. but we're all delusional. ive deluded myself into thinking i'm apart of this movement where we built a team together, rode thru the trenches together, and when we win a chip we can celebrate as victors together. but this is all just a childs fantasy. at the end of the day, these are businesses that are selling us these dreams in order to extract as much money as possible out of us.

imma still ride for my teams. i love sports. the best way to enjoy them is to pick a team, and ride for them. i cant act holier than thou when i find out someone supports a different team for whatever reason. because its all just a game...all just a fantasy. if anything, i find it interesting hearing the backstory of how a person became a fan of a certain team. your backstory on how you support the steelers even tho u from houston is interesting. its not necessarily a "better reason" than a person that supports a team that has actively given international players a lot of shine over the past 15 years.

Just the bolded. I rocked with your post except for that (And probably fired) little add on. shyt felt disrespectful. Who you know got fired from an NFL team for something positive?

why you focus on 2 words outta a 300 word post? i never said homie was a scrub or nothin. 99% of player/team relationships end because of a decision made by the team, not the player. thats not a knock on jack ham.

Cause thats the only part I took offense to:yeshrug: I got you now tho.

Another strange fair-weather moment for me was when they brought Yao to the Rockets. We instantly gained about 1 billion extra fans. That was when I first got aware of how powerful this shyt could be. We made room in the bandwagon for those chinkstas tho

Favorite post I've ever seen on this site. Being a fan is the most illogical thing I do and I want to slowly stop all together.

The best case scenario of being a fan is your team wins the championship. So that enables you to spend more money on team specific merchandise. No ring, no cash, no bonus.

A damn free parade.

dap+rep.

whats the FIRST COMMERCIAL you see after the superbowl is over?

"hey new england fans! the patriots just won the superbowl! buy our dvd with highlights from the season!! buy our patriots super bowl winners hats and t shirts!!"

its just bizarre how we allow them to capitalize off our loyalty.
