Norfeast groovin…
Pac’s style is very obviously Bay influenced. You can hear Spice, The Governor, Richie Rich, etc. It was more so the cadences and certain words that he used which gave it away.

You can say that Pac for the most part was a Bay rapper but had enough East Coast influence to come off a little different. But yeah it’s super obvious that his foundation as a professional emcee came from his time in the Bay scene. Also agree with Greg that brought up Scarface, Pac was definitely influenced by him as well as Cube to a lesser extent.

You can hear the Bay influence in this song imo.

What about “Thugs Mansion”? That’s not a play on “Heaven got a ghetto”? And Poor out a little liquor” where the Spice 1 sample is literally the next line from “I wonder if heaven got a ghetto”? “My cousin died last year and I still can’t let go”.

Have a seat.

What year was thugz mansion released? 2002. When did 2pac die?

Terrible example

This one don’t fly. Some nggas was just born to be stars. 2pac is one of em. And not just bc of ‘rap’. Just how the stars aligned his upbringing, environment , etc.

And that doesn’t apply to most rappers. Not jay, not big, not Nas. It’s something bigger than rap.

I’d put Pac and Kanye in that category. Like on some MCU Flash shyt if we did a simulation and altered the universe 100 times and shook the shyt up and did it all over again…. 2pac would stil be a star in some way shape or form. It’s insulting to imply Spice 1 ‘saved him’

In a way this is annoying…but in another way it just make you laugh with the Joe Biden laugh

Only nggas. There’s a nikka in the backwoods of North Carolina that will tell you Jordan stole his whole swag….there’s a ngga in Kentucky that used to spare with Muhammad Ali and used to beat his ass….that’s just what nggas gon do. There’s always a ngga ‘up north better than Jordan’. :beli: And there’s always gon be a nggas who revel in it so they can be contrarian :banderas: Only nggas

:dahell:

2pac made the damn song and gave it that title. What the hell are you talking about? It probably would have been released before then if he didn’t pass away.
