Is it me or usually around this time, wrestling itself just seems a bit meh:francis:? From WWE's whatever the hell to NJPW focusing on the WOAT event in the promotion (World Tag Team League). Like what is it about this time of year that makes promotions slow on the hype factor? Even Survivor Series looking kinda meh:manny:

Thoughts on this subject plz:ld:

This is when ROH usually goes all out for Final Battle, but yeah December is usually downtime for everything not just wrestling.

ROH needs a new booker badly tho

We used to have Starrcade :mjcry:

:wow:Fall Brawl, Halloween Havoc, and WW3 kept us warm during this cold period breh.

I think the true down period is from after mania to summerslam

:patrice:MITB, Dominion, and Backlash usually bangers though...

:beli:ROH is basically NXT for NJPW at this very point in life.

The thing that today's era of wrestling is badly missing when it comes to the fall/winter time of the year is "holiday fukkery". During the 80s - mid-2000s around this time of the year when its a down period from the serious storylines they usually book silly yet entertaining and memorable holiday segments that would be fun for all like....

But as of late it seems like nobody embraces the holiday seasons anymore like we used to and that's been reflected upon the wrestling product as well.

WWE's period from SummerSlam up until Royal Rumble season is almost always .

Then after WrestleMania, it's mostly  until SummerSlam comes around. You know what? Let's be honest. The majority of WWE's best writing throughout the year comes during the Road to WrestleMania. :upsetfavre:

Couldnt agree more, only thing I disagree is whenever they would have the Thanksgiving dinners on shows, it ALWAYS ends up in a giant food fight and it's just corny to me, not to mention repetative, but everything else you said is spot on
