fam my grandfather just died

just got off the phone with my uncle i got the news that my grandfather died. He was born in 1924 and lived a good and long life. In that respect I dont feel sad, but i was planning to go back to somalia this summer and visit him.

I talked to him last week and i think he was hinting that he was gonna die soon, his tone and everything felt weird and he told me to work hard in life, stay safe, and to not "trust" these white Canadians

Man. I was working in DC when my grandfather passed in 2014. Originally moved there to get away from everybody, was only there for a few months before he passed. Ended up never seeing him again.

Still haven't really processed it as my grandparents are the ones who pretty much raised me.

Damn, I re-read this joint and it really got me.

My grandfather had a hard ass life (grew up poor, in the deep south) and eventually made something out of it. The first time I saw him cry was when I left for college. Only other time is when he had like a huge family reunion with his brother and sister.

I remember at the funeral they talked about how he really loved my brother and I. He obviously loved his kids (my mom and uncle), but they specifically mentioned us, like, "he really loved you two." Like he loved and was proud of us man, shyt crazy.

Damn. This shyt mad relatable. Let me know if you need anything breh.

its crazy cause i don't even know if my grandfathers are dead or alive thats how bad my family structure is fukked up i only know of my grandmother on my mothers side sorry for you loss playboy cause i now see how grandparents could impact a person life cause me and my grandma is a lot closer now cause i call her and talk with her…a lot of wisdom in them old souls ya dig
