Being the only member of your family to become financially stable is like paying a Black Tax.

They always ask for money. At first, years ago, I felt bad for them, so I would give whenever they needed.

Then, I moved on to giving less frequently and much less in dollar amount.

I have an aunt who travels frequently, out of the country, cross country, always outside


And ALWAYS begging. My cousins are grown so this has been a ~30+ year habit.

She’s in Jamaica rn and just begged my mom for money. It’s not a ton of people in the fam like this but the ones who are really are the worst.
