A family dog is just that, simply a dog that is owned by a family. Different dogs have different temperaments.

Don’t play dense. There are generally accepted dog breeds with better temperaments for families. Pits aren’t one of them. If you or your family decide to have a pit that’s fine. Just don’t try to change the generally accepted definition to fit your bias.
