ACT 1: At WrestleMania IV, when Hulk Hogan aided Randy Savage in beating Ted DiBiase and Andre the Giant in their scheme to win the WWF title, the MegaPowers were made official. Savage as WWF champion, Elizabeth as his woman, and his friend Hogan to help when needed. This alliance came in handy again when Savage was faced with the challenge of a tag match to headline SummerSlam '88. He called his friend Hogan, who gladly obliged. On an episode of the Brother Love Show, Hulk Hogan said that he loved Savage like a brother and he loved Elizabeth... like a sister. Savage, always protective of Elizabeth, flinched for a second at Hogan's profession of love but didn't believe there was any need for alarm. Together, the MegaPowers defeated the MegaBucks at SummerSlam and all was great.

ACT 2: After SummerSlam, it is announced that Elizabeth will now be the manager of both Savage and Hogan. On commentary, Jesse Ventura says "It's gonna be a problem, McMahon". Ventura is accused of simply trying to start friction between the two. Weeks later, Brother Love suggests the same. Savage warns Ventura and Love that no matter what they say, the MegaPowers will never part and there is no problem. Meanwhile, Hogan finds himself in a feud with the Big Bossman and Akeem. This time, Savage comes to Hogan's aid. This leads to a Survivor Series 10-man tag match. After winning the match, Hogan is so excited, he hugs Elizabeth and Savage is visibly bothered by this. Ventura says "I smell a rat."

ACT 3: Savage begins to pay more attention to Hogan's friendship with Elizabeth while having a new issue of his own. Bad News Brown accuses Elizabeth of doing "favors" for Jack Tunney to protect Savage from Brown. Hogan is so enraged, he confronts Brown. Savage, equally enraged, has a problem not only with Brown, but with Hogan involving himself in the conflict. Savage questions how come Hogan is so emotionally invested in defending Elizabeth. Hogan says that it's only the love that he has for both Savage and Elizabeth. He knows how Savage and Elizabeth feel for each other and Brown's comments hurt him just as much. Hogan becomes extremely chivalrous toward Elizabeth and though it bothers Savage, he ignores his gut feeling. This continues until the Royal Rumble when Hogan "mistakenly" eliminates Savage and goes on to win it. Hogan poses to close the show and invites Savage and Elizabeth to come out and pose with him. Elizabeth wants to, but Savage refuses. This causes an argument between Savage and Elizabeth.

ACT 4: On the Main Event, the Megapowers once again team up to face Bossman & Akeem. During the match, Savage is tossed to the outside, crashing into Elizabeth. Hogan sees Elizabeth and leaves Savage to carry her into the Medical room. As he does this, he apologizes for Randy and says that he'll never let anything bad happen to Liz. He then tells Liz "I love you." Hogan comes back to the ring to "help" Savage. He tells Savage that he should go check on Liz, he'll finish the match alone. As Savage leaves, Hogan wins the match. After taking time to pose and stand in the spotlight all on his own, he returns backstage to see Savage apologizing to Liz. Hogan confronts Savage, asking him how he could hurt Liz, attempting to look like "the good guy". When Savage asks Hogan what he's talking about, Hogan accuses Savage of jealousy. Savage tells Hogan that he is wrong, it's Hogan who's jealous of what Savage and Liz have. Hogan has been jealous since day one and was waiting for just the right time to make his move. Hogan tells Savage that he could never be jealous of Savage because nothing is bigger than Hulkamania and Liz deserves a man like him. Savage puts his title belt down and gets in Hogan's face, telling him that he's been a snake this whole time and he never wanted to believe it. Liz begs them to stop arguing, and as Savage turns to Liz, Hogan picks up the belt and hits Savage with it. He continues to attack Savage and then turns to Elizabeth, telling her that she should leave Savage if she wants to be with a real champion and a real man.

ACT 5: In the weeks preceding WrestleMania, Jesse Ventura begins to verbally side with Hogan, blaming Elizabeth and saying that Savage let a woman make him soft. Hogan gives an interview with Mean Gene denouncing the fans and threatening that at Mania V, he will take everything from Savage. When Gene tells Hogan that he should be ashamed of himself, Hogan grabs Gene by the neck and says "I am biggest star in the business and no one is greater than Hulkamania. You know it, all of these no-good fans know it, Savage knows it, and Elizabeth's gonna find out when I take MY belt back". He laughs and poses, becoming an egomaniacal character in the process. Interviewed by Gene the following week, Elizabeth announces that no matter what Hulk says, she will always love Macho Man.

ACT 6: At WrestleMania V, Hogan comes to the ring with a new manager, Sensational Sherri. During the match, he repeatedly taunts Elizabeth. When Sherri gets physically involved in the match, she is thrown out by the ref. At a point when Savage appears to be beaten, Hogan comes outside to get in Liz's face, she responds by slapping Hogan. In the ring, Hogan gives Savage the big boot and tells Liz "watch this". Hogan attempts the legdrop and misses, holding his injured leg. Savage climbs the ropes and delivers the flying elbow to win the match and retain the WWF championship.

This was dope but then we wouldn’t have gotten WM6 which was a GOAT WM ME

Plus Macho King ended up being a GOAT heel

Speaking of, we also wouldn’t have gotten Macho King vs Warrior WM7 which is a GOAT WM match till this day :banderas:

This did make me realize tho that the babyface won the main event of just about every WWF ppv in the 80s :hhh:
