Never understood why the Packers cut him, took us 2 years to finally replace him.

And as they say, imitation is the greatest form of flattery esp with regards to an ex teammate

Yea too bad. We're lucky to have to pretty good kickers. Someone broke down this play and Ryan played it perfectly. Not only did he hold the ball til the last second to run, but when he ran it he tucked it under his arm and sold the run perfectly. Only reason why the defender went after him instead of play the pass.

I still don't understand why the Packers had a block formation. They played conservative all gm. The conservative thing to do woulda been just play coverage to be safe

Cause they didn't think Carroll had it in him? I don't remember the last time we ran a trick play like this.

Crosby is good for us. Masthay was good until the Packers starting having that streak of not punting in games and then became meh in the 2nd half of the season.

As soon as #59 Brad Jones lined up on the left side, they made the decision to run the play.

Both he and AJ Hawk weren't going to cover and try to block the kick. Davon House didn't get to Ryan in time.

Bad special teams coach in GB. Just horrible. Hawk and Jones have to be cut, probably the worst inside backers in the NFL.

And that's not even the greatest thing about that sequence. You can't see it good in that vine but after he flicks the ball while he's running out of bounds, he keeps his hand in the air like Jordan hitting at the buzzer :heh:

Swag overload. fukked GB's whole shyt up in one play and it snowballed from there and they never recovered.

The point was, who cares if u kick a fg? Just play your base d. That would've been the conservative thing.

Still postive that he wasn't getting that 1st running, Hawk fukked up and was useless as usual
I think that's exactly what the problem was. The punter was already covered by someone, but Hawk panicked and chased him leaving his man wide open. I think the coverage was fine, but Hawk made a critical error.
