Everybody knows about the many differences between all the battle leagues and their styles. URL being the major one. My main reason for this thread is that I've been paying attention to battle culture for a long time now. And I've watched it become stagnant. The problem with the URL's top guys, the thing that they don't realize is, they are just artists. One artist may be more well known than the other, but the "talent" you see is purely subjective. Your top tiers are just guys who have been lucky enough not to take major losses on camera. Sounds like playing it safe to me, and why do battle rappers need to play it safe? More battles equals more money, more visibility for the battle culture. It's just an all around good thing for more battles to happen. It's why YOU, the fan, fiend for those new battles.

My question to you is..

If you could create a battle league...
..with NO financial limitations..
...using any talent you want..
...make it wherever in the world you want..

What would your league be like?

If I had a league we'd do a weekly TV show with ONE battle per show.

Each episode would start with a five minute trailer on the two opponents, their background and some sh1t talking The atmosphere would be grimey, a parking garage type place they did with the Dizaster/ Cassidy battle.

Their would be none of this tier bullsh1it or divas not wanting to battle, I would book the type of matches we'd realistically never see today. Chilla vs Lux or Bigg K vs Mook for example.

Everybody gets paid the same and you're only as good as your last battle. Timed rounds (for TV obviously) but with some flexibility so nobody gets cut off at the end of their verse.

One battle a week so that's 50 battles a year. With a good rotation battlers you'd never run out of matches
