If they keep goin with this, they would have to write his death in at some point, that would be :to:

They can't possibly kill him in a car crash like real life now, that would hit too close to home for all of em especially his family

I don't think this movie is comin next Summer now tho, they prolly gotta rewrite the whole damn thing

some things just can't be overcome. that's a core character they'd basically have to rewrite the movie and kill him off screen or recast the role. either way it would be awkward. this isn't like Batman where a person that played a villain died and they can just roll on with new villains. Vin and Paul were that franchise especially in its resurgence. there's no proper way to make his death work.

You're probably right, maybe they finish this movie and have it be the last in tribute to him. Really depends how much of the movie they filmed. If they are 75-80% done they can probably make it work for the movie and be respectful to him and the series.

But if they were like 50% done, that script is DOA because how do you re-write your 2nd main character dying halfway through and still make an entertaining film

Obviously thoughts are with his family and friends tonight, but you know Universal must be at DEFCON 1 right now dealing with losing Paul as someone they knew and worked with for a decade and possibly losing a Franchise that was gonna print money the next 3 summers.

i'd imagine they march on with the movie but its gonna be weird. there's likely too much money invested to stop now. whatever plot they had can't really work with him being dead now. they'll probably have to do heavy re-writes. the quality is gonna end up taking a sever hit though.

it isn't as much Paul Walker as an actor being irreplaceable as it is the movie franchise being built around his character and Vin's character. writing him out of the movie leaves this huge void. its like when Charlie Sheen left Two and a Half Men they marched on with the series but when you lose a core character something is built around whatever you're left with just ain't gonna work as well.

These last three movies have been less and less about him, though, they're about Vin Diesel's character, about loss, and about family. It's Vin Diesel the series can't really work without, as evident by 2F2F.
