I know Joey Crack is not the GOAT lyricist but his delivery is top 10.

fat joe is the tom cruise of rap, check it.. you see tom cruise at no point was ever considered some immense talent when it came to acting. you can look back at his career as a young actor in the 80's and when he wasn't get a lead as a "face" he was always a side character to more talented dudes. like the 1983 film outsiders for instance. you had patrick swayze, ralph macchio, matt dillon, emilio estevez, and rob lowe? all could act circles around tom and like rob lowe he was more of a face than anything else with even lower tier talent...

but you see like fat joe tom cruise was always incredibly driven and dedicated to his craft. we're talking obsessively, while also being humble enough to never really trip if he worked with a dude who was more talented and possibly getting outshined like the film jerry maguire with cuba gooding. though nominated, tom wasn't winning no oscar like cuba. but he stayed on his grind, kept working with acting coaches, and doing mad studying of uta hagen and stella adler. even after becoming a major box office draw, he was always trying to get better. he knew he wasn't no damn denzel, deniro, christian bale, or philip seymour hoffman. but goddamnit he was finna work himself into that kinda greatness if it killed him

joe is the equivalent of that b. he literally surrounded himself with nasty emcees, writing constantly, and figured out how to master his own craft. this fat dude is so humble, he let 1998 pun criticize his rhymes and tell him that he was a surface level rapper who never took it deep enough n/h. pun said joe's rapping literally annoyed him. what?? his protege and nikka HE'S putting on to the game is saying this to him and he ain't offended? not only that is telling us this publicly with no qualms? yeah man it's that spirit of humility along with being dedicated to this rap shyt, with however you feel about him abandoning the underground d.i.t.c. shyt and becoming a commercial entity, that has made him into a legend who is relevant today unlike a million doper nikkas who debuted in 1992 like he did. fat fukkin joe, the tom cruise of the rap game son

Don't insult Tom Cruise like that.. He don't have another man acting his movies for him.

I couldn't have said that better myself. Dap and rep. :picard::wow:

People on this forum always take it the wrong way when I say that Crack was a better artist/emcee than Punisher in their prime. What I mean by that is he delivers his performance like he means every word with so much passion. It's the same quality that 2Pac and DMX have but just on a lower level since he went the independant route with his career so people don't generally put him in the same sphere as those two but his music is just as fire. Yes, Punisher can rap circles around Crack but in no way was what he was delivering was more delibarete and concise than Joe.

Take "Twinz" for example. Punisher carries the song and floats for sure but he in no way had the best verse (IMO). Every house party that I go to and this comes on everyone knows Joe's verse word for word.

Everything he says sounds believable and the career he's had post Pun speaks volumes. Crack went against 50 in the Aftermath machine's prime and still came out with just as many hits and just as hard diss songs. That too is why I rate Crack so high.

He'll always be in my top 10.:blessed:

I always heard he didn't want to sign to a label

he def got mad offers over the years wasn't interested

What an idiot.:dahell::mjlol::snoop:

Some of these artists need to be forced to be dragged through a year of a music industry business course 101 before they even sign a contract. How could you be so dumb to throw away free money and a lifetime of opportunities?:mjtf:

Yes, you'll get pimped by the industry but you'll be able to feed absolutely everyone in your immediate circle. There's old ass rappers from the 80s before rap even blew that are still touring now/or just before Rona stopped everything.:martin:
