there is no such thing as a working formula for music nowadays. there's the super pop artists and then theirs the rest of the artists that aint selling much. you can drop the album during the hype and get an insane buzz the first week. and then fall all the way off the cliff in week 2. and still go double wood. or come out with the old formula. hit them with a summer banger, make your run around the US or even globe off that song and one or 2 others. and then drop the real album. and still go double wood. doesnt really matter for non rhiannas and non taylor swifts. they aint selling regardless. unless they get lucky and hit at the perfect moment. which no one knows when that is in this climate of music buying/downloadingThis dude is still working that 90's formula with having the hit single burn through the summer then finally dropping the album
He should've just dropped the album last month, but either way i'm real happy for Remy especially, who would've thought that she'd be back on top after being locked up and Pap still can't get any type of rotation
I wonder what the follow up single sound like![]()

for someone like Joe, as soon as "All the way up" caught fire he should've just dropped the album and WORK it from there, everyone is always looking for those "HR first week numbers" but hardly anyone wants to "hit singles" *double entendre btw lol * but what i mean is keep it consistent, and make those numbers grow every week instead of the big first week number everyone so desires. Working the album does more in the longrun than putting your marbles in one BIG push for the first week.
