Good video. I started talking to my daughter and explaining shyt as soon as I felt she could understand.
I felt like I was doing the wrong thing. It wasn’t how I was raised.
I felt like I was doing my daughter a huge disservice by not copying my parents but my daughter turned 6 this week and I’m amazed at the little person I helped create.
She’s so damn smart, mature and responsible for her age. Probably because she absorbed lessons for 4 years instead of spankings (I spanked diapers).
She could’ve turned out this way no matter what but I feel like my change in parenting after her 2nd birthday produced a better person. Knowing what I know now I won’t spank the next one at all.
