I went out of my way trying to get this song on my phone the other day. This is from Nas' black girl lost.

Starlight is a track on her album "What Cha Gonna Do With My Lovin'". Though Universal owns the rights to her catalog, I don't think a lot of her stuff is online to buy as mp3's or for streaming. She recorded for Motown, ABC, 20th Century, Casablanca and MCA Records. Universal Music owns all of those labels. I'm actually trying to be more legit these days by getting my music legally more often so it was hell tracking it down

"I pump some Rick James wit dat Teena Marie."

She's gotta be one of the most soulful white girls. Dawn Robinson was also great covering this on Firm Biz :noah:

Love how they flipped it on "love u so" because when it hits all I'm hearing is mase' opening verse.

"Yo, now hum all you want to and all the simple hits Move, Cuda love, straight out the tenements"

"I keep it fresher than the next, bytch, No need for you to ever sweat the next bytch"

Love that break. Although "Seven Minutes of Funk" was never a hit on the R&B charts, Grandmaster Flash is credited with being the guy who made it hot in New York City. It's a forgotten record to rnb fans but a staple in the hip hop community.

Love how jus blaze used popcorn love as the basis for the beat on "I Like it". Can't believe how that's the only time someone flipped that into a beat. It's also funny people barely remember popcorn love being on candy girl like they barely remember Harlem World.
