I have one of my best childhood memories of Tekken 2.
Back when arcades were still alive, I used to get to hang out there after school. I was still in elementary... remember these high school kids would always come in at a certain time and just hog all the machines. One day I happened to be playing T2 while they came in. I only had like 75 cents so I wasn't about to drop my story run for these dudes. One of the guys said he'd just bust my ass and knock me off the sticks for the day
75 cents was a lot of money

It was 50 just to get one game started
In my most focused big boy voice I said "Lets do it then

" Next thing I know there's a dozen people around me and dude picks Law. Starts talking like I'm already gone too
Then I picked Jun

I didn't know I wasn't supposed to pick a girl so they all started clowning me

. I perfected hit that low counter on dude in the first 5 seconds and knew he wasn't shyt

ran that perfect on him. I ain't ever been so hyped in my life. His boys turned on him completely and immediately.
"How you gonna let Mugsy beat you..." (Mugsy Bogues was my role model

)
"Do you need HELP homie?" (Oh shyt I thought they was tight, don't blame this ruined friendship on me

)
"What's your name little dude?" (fukk I forgot my name!

)
"You got perfected by a bytch." (Was he talking about me or my favorite character?

)
Had to focus because I needed my 75 cents to last. I was gonna be bored as fukk and ready to kill myself if I had to wander the Southsquare Mall for the next 2 hours with no money. Baited dude into more of those flying kicks than put his ass in the blender

Double perfected a high school kid. I was the man
They ended up teaching me how to hoop and ended up being real cool people.
Thank you Tekken 2
