"Who's the best: Pac, Nas and Big?"
A continuation of my "Favorite track off a Classic or Great album" threads. On my last thread I covered Ice Cube's "Death Certificate" in which the majority voted for "No Vaseline". Today it will be Redman's landmark debut album, "Whut?! Thee Album". Considered his best work along with "Muddy Waters" The album lived up to the hype that surrounded it at the time. No skips on the album, solid production, hilarious,& dope lyrics as expected by Reggie. Redman was first introduced to a wider hip-hop audience in 1990 when he appeared on 2 guest spots ("Hardcore" & "Brothers On My Jock")on EPMD's 3rd album "Business as Usual" An year later, Redman would be signed to Def Jam, where he began writing & recording what would eventually become "Whut?! Thee Album". The majority of the album was handled by Redman himself with mentoring & Co-Production by Erick Sermon & one track having production by Pete Rock. What came of this was an all time classic album & a legend in the making. My favorite track off the album is a hard one. I might have to go with Hardcore just off the strength of that Redman verse. The verse was also the first verse I ever memorized.
If this album doesn't convince you that Reggie is one of the all time greats then nothing will. I can't fathom how someone can say Reggie is wack
Who's the nikka that made that thread on here saying Reggie is wack, as well as the nikkas co-signing him?Come catch these negs.
What's your favorite track off this classic? & if you can, explain.
