Favourite track off Murder Was the Case: The Soundtrack

Shout-out to @Deucage for inspiring this kinda thread.

Bruh I hope you don't take issue with me doing this, I just know you usually do 'proper' studio albums so I gathered you'd never get around to a soundtrack. After listening through it today I just felt I wanted to do it.

For the record, this is my favourite soundtrack by quite a distance. I know a lot of people prefer Above the Rim to this, but not for me. This has so many incredible songs and to have an assortment of Death Row artists at their peak was amazing.

Such a well rounded album with some great male and female singing, and also straight spitting and that traditional g-funk we've come to love over the years and that was popularised around the time.

Also Deucage, when we gonna get the series back?

that psychotic murderous shyt was a pleasure to hear by two artists who were meant to work together on an album that never materialised


Also anything Cube is gonna be GOAT, as this song proved to be

Although Dre's song was Keep Ya Head Ringin' off the Friday soundtrack

Was Dollars and Sense first debuted on this album? Coz obviously it made it onto here before it was on the Safe + Sound album, and Quik performed it in the video above to MC Eiht in the crowd too.

Soundtracks are all yours if you please. I wonder how I never got around to Murder Was the Case & Above the Rim when I was on that west coast kick during my Pac & Death Row threads
I actually just did one yesterday on Jay-Z's Reasonable Doubt for its 20th anniversary for that occasion. I can't guarantee I'll make the threads everyday like I used to, but I'll try to keep them coming at a steady pace. I haven't forgotten where I left off before the brief hiatus so Muddy Waters is up next. I believe there is an issue with the hashtags,so maybe that's why some didn't get the notification. Murder is a classic have it & Above the Rim on heavy rotation lately. Natural Born Killaz is my choice for the reasons you listed. The instrumental is makes me feel like I need to go someone. Keep them Coli Classics threads coming
