North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
ISP will be able to control which websites run faster and which ones will get little to no bandwith. People are looking to Netflix as an example since their site eats up a lot of traffic. ISP could end up charging them a fee which would then be passed along to subscribers (and a reason why their stock took a hit after the ruling). In Theory Sprint can create Sprintflix or Verizon can create Verizonflix and simply make Netflix run slower and take away their customers.

I'm looking at the short term. This could be a death blow to bootleg sites and torrent sites. :deadrose:

This case should hopefully go to the supreme court but I'm going to start hoarding as much as I can in the coming months.

I don't care about popular websites. ISP's will be able to eliminate torrent and other file sharing websites. They could take shyt back to 1995 in terms of downloading content. 30 minutes to download ONE song.

Because they already are paying more. They have to pay for their internet access just like you do. But now Verizon and other ISPs want them to pay another fee basically because they are popular with people.

ISPs need to upgrade their infrastructure... no such thing as "killin the bandwidth".

Couldn't find a link to this story though

EDIT:
OK, I skimmed through the decision and essentially the Court told the FCC what to do to... reclass broadband providers as common carriers (i.e. telephone and cable TV). The FCC needs to get on this yesterday, Net Neutrality is essential for small businesses, video services, and EVERYTHING that is online.
