Depp NAILED Hunter S. Thompson. Del Toro was great, but Depp outshined him here. Movie is a classic, the book is incredible, Hunter S. Thompson was a genius (and insane). It's too bad Rum Diaries didn't live up to this joint.

Good film. I saw both this and 'Repo Man' back to back in a local arthouse cinema. The latter is a stone cold classic, up there with 'Blazing Saddles' and the Monty Python stuff in terms of comedies.

It would be a good flick to watch on shrooms.

Yeah. I've watched it sober as a judge most times that I've seen it. The friend that put me onto it, it was his favorite movie. I liked it but I wouldn't say favorite.

But both Benicio And Johnny killed it.
