I've gotten hit with the okey-doke a few too many times. I need to improve my powers of deduction when it comes to these filters.
Any tips?
It's super easy breh.
Just first know that if you have to ask, then it's probably a filter
The skin. If her skin looks flawless, then 9/10 it's a filter. Even people in real life with great skin still have some bumps and discoloration. If it looks plastic then that is a sign.
If they have those tiny freckles on their cheeks. A lot of girls love this filter. It smooths the skin and evens out skin tones, but it has a give away that it puts freckles on them. Pay close attention.
Look at their eyes. Specifically look at the catch light in their eyes. If the catch light is really accentuated, then it's definitely a filter. A lot of filters do that to make the eyes "pop". Unless it's a studio shoot with professional lights and reflectors, a person's eyes are not going to naturally "pop" when in natural light.
Look at this example below. They have filters for video too.
She is in a car in natural light and her eyes look like glass. All her other videos are the same thing. Really smooth skin and her eyes pop.
