Fellas: ever had a chick not like what you wore on a date or meetup with a chick

Like my boy was telling me this past weekend he met up with this chick at this restaurant. He was wearing these nice guess jeans (not baggy) some polo boots and this express v-neck shirt. She made a comment about why he wasnt wearing a collared shirt (ie polo or button down type shirt). He told her because I didnt want to wear one. Her response was that he still looked good, just to casual even though they were out a casual spot. You would have thought he walked in there with a tshirt flip flops, and dingy

he never called her back, but she text him yesterday asking "well i guess you didnt like our date since you havent hit me up"

ive been on many dates and i didnt like what the guy wore(more like no sense of style --- need some help) and it would never occur to me to tell the guy or mention it to him. Its a first date for fukk's sake. I dont blame the guy for never hitting her up again.
