Women who don't argue at all usually just sit in the relationship like a bump on a log, it feels like carrying dead weight. Men don't like that. You probably didnt show much passion or enthusiasm towards him or the relationship in any other areas, and that was the last place he was trying to find it.
He was probably cheating on you too if that's the case.

You probably thought you were, but in reality it was different. If your man wants to spend money on you and that makes him feel like a good man, let him do it, that's what he likes doing, that's what makes him happy, and as a supportive woman you should be concerned with your mans happiness. But you were focused on what you wanted, not what he wanted.
And for a man to be in the friend zone for 7 years and then come out of it to date you already says a whole lot. No man with a spine(or options) is going to sit front row 7 years while you bang other dudes and not give him any.
But you got out of there and are free to enjoy other men now, so that's a nice win for you.
also, the best way to win arguments is to not put yourself in a losing position to begin with.
don't promise shyt and then not follow through. don't lie. don't be disrespectful. don't cheat. don't backstab your girl for your friends or fam. don't backstab your friends or fam for your girl. be principled on all sides.
if you've followed all of these rules, there is no reason to EVER back down from your girl trying to start shyt. if you are righteous, you should never let her even THINK she can step on you. if she decides to leave cause you won't backdown, then either y'all were not compatible or she was just wicked.
