If you found out your child was being bullied at school?

My son is strong boy with a lot of friends however he comes home and asks me questions that has me like sometimes.

He came in my room and randomly asked me if he talks funny last night. I of course told him no, and that others may have a hard time understanding him because he lost two teeth.

A week or so ago he came in from playing outside and asked if he could take his new toy out there, I told him no, and he went back out only to return minutes later saying his friends didn't want to play with him anymore.

He also recently started asking if he could use his dad's mouth wash in the morning instead of the normal toothpaste.

I'm not too sure but I think someone may be picking on my baby. I don't want to tell his dad because I know he would snap.

What do you guys think? What would you do?

If its verbal bullying teach him some jokes

kids usually work this stuff out on their own. dont ignore it but let it breathe for a while. if your still getting red flags from questions he's asking or behavior then you can ask him directly.

if its just jokes at his expense there's not much you can do. if kids are being manipulative put him on game. I vividly remember some kids back in gradeschool who would say they wouldnt be your friend if you didnt give them food or let them play with your toys. if he has a healthy self esteem that'll only work a couple times if at all

Yeah at this point in his life my son just isn't "that" kid. He's sweet and gullible. I don't think he could deliver a good joke if he tried.

Bullying is a part of life. Give him the opportunity to figure out how to deal. Don't try to intervene and turn him into some soft mommas boy who can't handle adversity
