Can't wait for the inevitable "grappling is superior to striking" folks :unimpressed:

It's a different ART. I'm taking BJJ now after getting my black belt in Tang Soo Do and it's very very tough learning an entirely new skill set.

I can tell you just from the light sparring when the mat opens up there's so many openings to layout a grappler it's not even funny.

Plus those boxers couldn't punch her. Otherwise she gets slept quick.

Props to homegirl.

Okay I thought I was tripping. I was thinking the same thing. This is impressive nevertheless. But I was a bit confused.

How would grappling fare against boxing? I’m curious. Either art form is amazing to analyze imo.
I still just sit there and wonder at the sheer power some people are able to put behind their punches.

Depends on if the grappler can get a hold of you you first. Most them cats are not used to actually being hit if they just train bbj. If youre not used to taking a boxers punch, and you get hit flush. Good luck.

I think itd be easier to learn takedown defense than to be a good boxer fwiw. If you can wrestle and strike that bbj shyt loses a lot of its usefullness unless they are really really good.

Also notice breh in the vid said “untrained” youre gonna make anyone look like a fool to play by the rules of your martial art if they are untrained. Id have new dudes twice my size waving the white flag in under minute in boxing.

Grappling + Striking > Grappling > Striking
I swear the fact that you spend so much time learning how to fall correctly as a grappler is like an instant benefit. For a lotta people, falling in a fight = instant L. For grapplers they literally wanna take it to the ground.

Which is terrifying to me…:damn::pachaha:
