Tradition for me, even though it's on the old gen.:yeshrug:

Plus 2010 WC was one of the best FIFA's ever released. But with the UT World Cup that's released on FIFA 14 for old and new gen I can see why people should skip over this one.

Can you play a World Cup mode on Fifa? I haven't played for years but when I was young the options for internationals was pretty weak so when the euro's or the world cup came around this game would let play the full tournament. I don't see what extra you could get out of it in this new gaming generation though.

Just easy money for EA Sports. I usually try not to buy the WC games but I'm also a huge fan of the FIFA games so I'll consider if the price is low enough far enough away from FIFA 15

Most people say its because they get to play with teams AND players not available in the regular version.

Also, improved player ratings. Some of my favorite players got a boost in pace and shooting.

Also, change in player position. Like Di Maria moving from RM to CAM.

I wouldn't buy it though.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2014_FIFA_World_Cup_Brazil_(video_game)

Gameplay improvements from FIFA 14 include dribbling, an increased accuracy in passing and first-touch mechanics.[citation needed]

The game's campaign mode, Road to the FIFA World Cup, allows players to play through qualification and the actual FIFA World Cup. For only the second time in the history of World Cup video games the entire qualification series will be playable. The 2010 version only presented the UEFA and CONMEBOL groups in their true to life form. Another mode, Road to Rio de Janeiro, will allow players to compete in an online tournament across the 12 venues of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. It is similar in format to Seasons in FIFA 14 and Expedition mode from UEFA Euro 2012.[2]

The Captain Your Country, Online FIFA World Cup, Story of Qualifying, and Story of the Finals modes (the latter two integrated with EA Sports Football Club) from the 2010 edition return.[2]

I had the 2010 world cup game and the "road to the world cup" mode was dope as fukk.....it had every single country that took part in qualifications which is more international teams that have been featured in non-world cup Fifa games. The 2014 version will also have a mode similar to seasons (crack)...shiiiieeeeeeeeeet

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
i don't think the world cup, whether location, nor trophy, nor tournament is in the regular fifa games... and since this is the biggest tourny in the world, they make this separate

now why they couldn't make this dlc every year or just incorporate that mode like they use to....... $$$

The WC always have an added feel to it simply due to the time of year you're playing it. Having a few games with your boys then going down to the pub to watch the matches is one the best experiences. Besides, it's the only time I can play with both Nigeria and Jamaica :blessed:

Buy the WC edition. Fair enough the gameplay isn't that different when compared to 14 but it only comes out every 4 years. If you're on PS4/X1 you'll more than likely only have 2 opportunities to buy it whilst it's brand new.
