So far, the first three matchups have gone exactly as they seemed like they were. If there's one thing we can say about the film room, it's this

But let's see how this one goes. We've got one franchise that's been around since the late '70s and another that (on film) has been around since the mid '90s. There's Alien, Aliens, Alien 3, Alien Resurrection, Prometheus, and Alien Covenant vs Mission Impossible, MI2, MI3, Ghost Protocol, and Rogue Nation. Should be a competitive matchup but I've been wrong before.

Going to have to go with alien.

Mission impossible has always been one of those I'll watch them all but none of these really wow me type franchises, and I don't like the first two.

Alien has two bona fide classics, and while the bottom is lower than MI,I just don't think MI has ever been great.

I went Mission Impossible. More consistent even though there's nothing game changing like Alien. The highs are really high with Alien but those lows are lower than self-esteem on prom night. Both series try to reinvent themselves with each entry but Mission Impossible is more successful at that than Alien, which is also a point in its column. I've loved every mission impossible movie except MI2 and MI3. I like MI3, but I didn't go wild about it like seemingly the rest of the internet and think its the one entry with the least amount of personality in it as far as a directorial voice goes.
Easily MI for me. Ive never been huge on the Aliens films as they lean more horror than sci fi.

This distaste for horror :troll: but also :francis: with a dash of:hhh:

The year 3030
personally, I think I'd like MI more if they went with someone else than Cruise. I've only seen MI 1, 2, GP..and while the action was dope overall...just couldn't get w/ Cruise as the main guy. :yeshrug:

The highlight of the alien series is the first two. The rest are okay to meh. They also have the whack ass avp crossovers in their camp. The weakest MI movie is the 3rd. The rest are at least consistent

M:I because for the most part each movie has a different director and usually bring something new to the franchise. The stunts in each movie is progressively more stunning. That Burj Khalifa scene.
Paula Patton was a revelation in Ghost protocol.:whoo:

we get a I think M:I 1 is seriously underrated and has great watchability factor.

The only downside to the series is that the plot usually devolves into Ethan Hunt being disavowed.
