Not classified in the same family as dogs even though they are doglike.

If not, Bears > Tigers/Lions so Dogset wins? :lupe:

Honestly though, 800lb wolves would be a nightmare. Especially if they’re built to scale and not round and robust like 800lbs of bear is. 800lbs of proportionately scales wolf would be all muscle and bone. Again, a nightmare.

And so to answer the original question, no, I don’t think it would beat an 800lb feline. Let’s say a Siberian tiger. They get up in that neighborhood in weight I guess. Yes, it’d be a fight, but I think the tiger’s advantage would be its claws, strength, agility, and kill bite- something a wolf doesn’t have to my knowledge. Tigers either get their prey by the throat or by the back of the neck, severing their vertebrae right there.

Agreed, except for the bite thing. Wolves and wild dogs are hypercarnivores and have strong ass bites, it's how they tackle prey larger than themselves.

Ole big p*ssy ass catset (see what I did there?) mostly sticks to animals in their weight class (with exceptions :hubie:).

Oh no I’m not underestimating dogset’s bite force. I’m just saying that during a fight to the death, the feline has the “kill bite”(suffocating bite to windpipe) while the wolf will just bite multiple times in multiple places. The only canine I can think of with a kill bite is the pit bull, even that only depends on if they get you by the throat. But they’re so blindly enraged when fighting that the often just lock on the first part of the body they can bite.
