Finally saw Midsommar

What would possess a black man to take a trip with only white people, to an entirely white country that you are unfamilar with and an entirely white commune?
That was the least believable part of the movie to me.

Aster should have just made that character white because I can't believe any black person would do that.


These people did too many drugs. Not the commune. The friends there entire relationship seemed to be based on drug use.

Christian and the dude from Bandersnatch were terrible people. I don't know how anyone was cool with them.

I was kinda happy for Dani, she got back what she lost.

Those saying that this was better than Us in the verses thread, I don't know if we saw the same movies because I fell asleep on this shyt and had to run it back to finish. US kept me engaged.

Aster needs to bring something better. Hereditary was great this was just mediocre.

The cinematography was the best part about this joint, I'll give Aster credit for that.

I thought the movie was meh because he already covered the main focus of this movie with hereidary.. plus the wickerman already did entire setup before so it wasn't shocking if you're a horror buff like I am

He was a snake, literally threw his man's under the bus. Didn't comfort his gf really at all when she was having ptsd attacks. He seemed like a bad friend.

Agree with all your takes. “Us” had script issues but had one vision and a manageable runtime. Midsommar was a mess and wasn’t even one of those “too many good ideas” script-problems, this had one general thesis and dragged it out greatly with little else to chew on or enjoy in the meantime.
