What i liked about the show is that it showed people people who are good at what they do, people who are bad at what they do, people who are average, people who are lazy, people who turn corners, people who are principaled, people just waiting for retirement, etc.
One of my favorite scenes is actually from season 2 eventhough it's not my favorite season (although my least favorite is season 5 but that's another thread...). SPOILER ALERT: it's the scene where they find the girls' bodies in the water and usually in cop shows they would be arguing that it's their jurisdiction in order to work the case. But i just found it funny the length they went to in order to prove it wasn't their jurisdiction just to not fukk up their stats. They never show that aspect of police on cop shows usually the opposite. But it's something a lot of people can relate to as most people are trying to do less work and get the most credit on most jobs. Most shows try to paint cops as super principled human beings who care so much. This show showed us yeah they "care" to various degrees but at the end of the day, it's a job where people are worried about their paycheck, vacations, overtime, retirement and stats, like any other job...
