you really have to dig man, like really DIG to find anything worthwhile these days :snoop:

good music is essential to my life so I literally spend hours out of the week on lastfm, youtube and various blogs to try and find new music and you have to trudge through so much crap just to get to the good stuff. literally 99% of it is trash

its fukked nowadays because anyone with garage band and some lame bedroom set up can make a record these days and they just dump their crap on all these music sites. at least back in the days you could walk into a record store and at least expect some modicum of quality from the records stocked there. the internet has made the barrier of entry soo low its disgusting :scusthov:

You can't let it come to you, you gotta search. Artists you like will collab with similar artists, and those artists will have crews, etc. 6 degrees of dopeness separation.

I'm mostly listening to both Pete Rock & CL Smooth albums this month, a little Sensei on the block by Yasiin Bey, and ready to die in the most recent 24 hrs. With the usual supreme clientele, big krit, madvillainy, illmatic. A little A.L.L.A.,

You're right. I download so much new shyt but i haven't listened to alot of it. old school shyt too. I'll drop album covers...

While I agree, there is more shyt out there, but the fact that there are multiple outlets to check along w/ social media, it is passively easier to find stuff. Instagram has led me to more and more music as of late. :manny:

Something that saddens me is that I'm living in an era where we probably won't ever see a band like Maze or Earth, Wind and Fire again

Be condescending when u are lazy, breh.

how is it laziness when I admitted I literally spend hours out of the week trying to find new music :childplease:

when you have unconventional tastes you're forced to scrape through all the crap before you find those diamonds in the rough

@bigmac probably only has to look at the billboard hot 100 to find new music he likes

The Wrong Side of the Tracks
The problem is the sheer overabundance. Makes finding stuff you actually really like kinda difficult since you have to sift through so much trash.

As far as the availability of 'good music', there's more now than ever, IMO.

Hell, I went and found some stuff from the 90's I'd NEVER heard before.........

This is from the Netherlands. THE FREAKIN' NETHERLANDS.............:mindblown:
