Finding out someone died LATE unappreciation thread

I noticed I haven’t seen my neighbor in a few days, I didn’t know her like that but we saw each other everyday going about our business and exchanging basic greetings in the process.

I found out earlier through another neighbor that she was stabbed to death last Saturday just few blocks away. I googled and the first news article confirmed it. Smh


Also, few years ago I ran in to a childhood friend who I haven’t seen in ages when I went back to California. Come to find out one of his brothers got murdered and his other brother committed suicide.

I felt shytty cus I knew the whole family

It’s been gentrified but it hasn’t been dangerous since the mid 2000’s.

It wasn’t random tho, she knew the girl who ended up stabbing her smh
