Decent comeback effort by our raps though. But we are so flawed. If we aren’t healthy, we are average at best….when we’re healthy we can take on any team but otherwise, no . But We still need more depth and talent in this team. We need upgrades at the point guard position( starter…IQ sucked on defense and he had a bad shooting performance this afternoon ) we need better bench upgrades at SG/SF( the substitutions at shooting guard and Small forward are disappointing..
Walter and dikk ain’t it….RJ please come back) and we need to add another decent power forward on the bench….cmb/mamu are fine as bench players but we can’t always rely on yak since he’s often injury prone and gets tired easily.
Ingram had a up and down performance today…Some costly turnovers in this game but he carried the offense and didn't have as bad a game as people have said. His pure iso ball dominant style of play isn't often effective but he's by far their most skilled and most consistent three level scorer so it makes sense to give him the ball and let him work. It worked well enough to get them back in the game after falling into the deep hole.
More bad news : Toronto will have the hardest schedule in the association for the remainder of the season. We will face good teams or better in most of our games from now on. Of course we will play games against bottom feeders like the Jazz or pelicans.
