I enjoyed Fates and Awakening overall more and spent more time with them, but the presentation and story in this game are indeed great. I think its fine for noobs to the series, there's two different difficulty settings so its not like you can really get overwhelmed. I guess maybe managing two armies might get you bogged down, but its fairly simple to work with. Also, the fatigue system in the dungeons is something you need to be cautious of so bring lots of food items with you.
