Fire tv help

I lost the remote
I have the app on my phone and it works fine
Problem is I moved and I need to set the fire tv to this wifi
I can connect to the remote app on my phone
But I can't control the fire tv because it's looking for the old wifi

Is there anything I could do right now?
I know I could buy a remote
But I'm trying to use it now

Setup your NEW wifi network with the same exact SSID and password as the old one and it should jump on.
