I'm considering purchasing my first used car. (I've always bought my cars brand new but I am realizing I need to not spend 40 to 50 grand on new cars and let someone else eat that depreciation.

So these are four of my considerations

Any insight into the maintenance, performance or just overall experiance (if any of you have owned any of these cars) would be appreciated.

I'm needing something other than a straight out muscle car, which I have now.
I'm looking for something more mature yet still a chick magnet.

Thanks brehs!

get a 2009 Audi A5 3.2l 6-cylinder Quattro and call it a day.

Good lookin out. I found one at a dealer here in houston but it sold as soon as I scheduled a test drive so I didn't include it in my post. Could I modify the a5 4clyd to get more power? I will be changing from a 400 hp camaro convertible to this so its a big change.

Also, in your opinion are these audi's under powered? I mean, I noticed the same turbo 4 in the a4 a5 and base a6 for the new cars?! wtf? I"m sorta scared of the benz maintenance. I have the money but I just would rather spend it else where.

short answer? yes. you can tune the hell outta the 2.0t engines. If you browse forums like audizine you'll see some of the builds the guys come up with on there.

honestly nothing is better than the torques and sound that a V8+ produces, that's kinda the negs about a 4 and 6 cylinder engine. I mean you can always customize the exhaust but it's not the same.

IMO I like the 3.2l over the 2.0t. always have always will. seems like it has a nice feel stock compared to the 4cylinder single turbo. :manny:

*edit* any car you buy expect to put some money aside for maintenance, especially on European cars :whew:
