First Week at a new job, what do you do during downtime?

You just got hired. You really need this job, pay is decent. What are you doing from 10:45 till lunchtime to keep busy? Keep in mind nobody wants to teach you anything cause they’re scared you’re gonna take their job.

If it's a job I really enjoy I would learn more about my position so I could outshine these cats you mentioned here.

If it's a gig Idrc care about I would just kill time on my phone or at my desk.

is it a computer related job? i would be looking in the shared drive/archives to see what type of work they been doing, see if i can find stuff related to my position, tinkering with the various programs i need to use, etc
