Is it safe to say that the first string of Wu tang albums including Tical , OBFCL , Liquid Swords , Return to the 36 Chambers, Ironman and etc are really Wu Tang group albums...Of course they are associated with the artist as their classic but to me the are really group albums....BTW Doggystyle was a group album too....

i wouldnt say they were group albums because it gave everyone a chance to show there individual personalities.. even though ghost and rae were pretty much doing duet albums

tical is the only one of those albums that people may have an argument against it being a classic..

the rest of those including supreme clientele the first wu album and wu tang forever are all classics imo .....rza had some many classic beats during that time period.. not to mention the talent of killa sin.. holocaust.. timbo king.. wu syndicate.. la the darkmans 1st album was damn good...4th disciple.. mathematics on the boards as well... cappadonna.. them were the days

They are definitely Wu group albums. How aren't they? They either feature the entire Wu, or 90% of the group, and are all produced by RZA.

Exactly the same as the Wu "group" albums.

I don't consider "Doggystyle" a group album because Snoop wasn't in a group. I guess, if you were pressed, you could say it's more of a Death Row compilation. But it's a solo album IMO.
