Never saw the appeal of chicken and waffles. Tried that shyt once.

People cook that like its some kind of fad but I never had a version that really thrilled me.
Fish and grits on the other hand I feel is truly soul food. Feels ancient. By far the better dish. Had a shrimp and grits this past weekend that had me open.

Grits, I would say I are vegan friendly more so. It's just ground up dried corn so , you could just fry something up to go with it.Which one is the most vegan friendly?
It got popular with white people within the last 10 years, that poster probably just not around very many black folks or is white.Chicken and waffles (Soul Food version) like a hundred years old

For breakfast, I would choose Chicken & waffles. I feel some kind of way about eating seafood early in the morning.
Nothing wrong with eating seafood in the morning, but I am not used to eating it during that time of the day.

I've never had fish with grits, and I don't recall ever having chicken with waffles although it's on my bucket list. I'd probably go with the latter though. Had shrimp and grits, and I wasn't impressed. Grits are overrated.
