I was thinking it was a reach until the black ears. It could have been viewed as Mr Potato head.

But the black ears make it more obvious, and I believe that people do this on purpose for publicity, because they KNOW they will be called out. There is no way anyone doesn’t know what this symbolizes.

And Asians were up in arms over a designer using chopsticks in an add to eat spaghetti. So they know better.
