Zero active cardio. I skateboard and occasionally bike, but thats just to get from place to place. If you hit the weights or calisthenics hard enough, you come out
way ahead and should be too sore for much more work. I was losing inches last year eating 4k+ calories a day (4-6 donuts post workout from Dunkin) but I was hitting
the compounds HARD. The only time you should need cardio is if you are trying to get defined abs, as that takes a fair bit more work. You can see mine and im
10lbs overweight, but they aren't eye-popping.

The Truth
I box for like 2 hours a day 2-3 times a week... other than that I hit weights about 2-3 times a week (sometimes after boxing)

I'm not a big fan of running but you should incorporate atleast 30 minutes of cardio a day 3 times a week.

I do biking as well... try to do atleast 10 miles on cardio days.

Nope, if he wants to get rid of the fat around his midsection he should do as much cardio as possible. Diet important too of course.

Dont listen to this man, you can burn all that fat without cardio, just adjust your diet and start weight lifting. Cardio is good for other obvious reasons though

some people have the luxury of eating whatever the hell they want without putting on a lot of fat so to those people diet wont be the most important thing. Keep in mind everyones body type is different and some people have to really watch what they eat, but with a strict diet and weight lifting you can get the body type you want.

so you think I should keep with the 2 mile a day walk? and then hit weights and do core on top of that?

Rotate. I would walk 4days/week. Gotta give your body recovery time. Especially when u work up to a jog/run. Sprinting REALLY works your stomach muscles. If you are serious about jogging make sure that you invest in some good shoes. Even if you gotta come out da pocket a little its worth it.
