Yea, that Miss St team had upset that loaded UK squad in the SEC tourney final, then beat a UConn team with Ray Allen that had only like 2 losses, they got on a ridiculous hot streak to end the year before losing to Cuse in the Final 4. Donte Jones was killing, I didn't think he would be a star or anything but I'm surprised he flamed out as quickly as he did.

Jones had like a screw placed in his foot if memory serves. Never was healthy.

That 96 big east tourney :whew:

Nova with Kittles, alvin williams, Georgetown with AI and victor page, and uconn with Ray :wow:
the Big East that year was the last great year for that conference in terms of star power.

this video is so east coast 90s. :wow:

idk what happened to the modern day athlete, but they all come off like robots compared to athletes in the 90s.

its cuz now, almost all of em go thru basic training on the AAU circuit.

they teach robotics.

Kansas squad with Paul Pierce, Raef Lafrentz, Pollard, Jacque Vaughn

the fact that I don't even remember pierce as far back as '96, is a testament to this thread.

college basketball was loaded. I rocked with it harder than the nba in the '90s.

hell, I rocked it harder than ALL sports leagues in the '90s, outside of pro wrestling, which probably doesn't count.

Dudes not staying 3-4 years is what makes this how it is today.

I take it all for what it is though. Still good games when two good teams play

basically that.
