"...and I don't think many teams in the league do. I don’t think you can win a championship that way, just as a concept for a team."

How the fukk do these guys get paid to coach professional basketball?
He doesn't.

He gets paid to run the whole thing :snoop:

let me find the quotes about the "3 card" he gives to players, meaning he only allows certain players to shoot 3's in practice and if you're not one of those guys practice will be a living hell

none of it makes sense. None of it. I could run through a laundry list of shyt that he's done that doesn't make any sense but I don't have the time or the stomach to break it all down. Others Wolves fans know though.

Kind of random this quote has come up now when the article dropped almost 2 months ago, but yeah.

This is for everyone that hates analytics, Flip is trying to build a team that spits in the face of it. Doesn't value the three. Doesn't value the clock. Doesn't care who the facilitator is (Robbie Hummel, Corey Brewer and Zach LaVine have all played PG at some point), and always wants to shoot the worst possible shot there is. Anthony Bennett took a top of the key shot over 70% of the time because Flip encouraged him to take the shot if he was open. Know what happened? Teams picked up on it and with 19 or 18 seconds left, Bennett would launch one because it was the one shot Flip wouldn't kill him for, to the point where AB never posted up anymore.

Part of why Bazz has the highest PER on the team yet always has the most inconsistent minutes is because Bazz doesn't give a shyt about Flip's instructions and just freelances.

Randy Wittman believes in this movement :why:

The Wizards run the exact same system.

DeJuan Blair doesn't get minutes because he isn't shooting mid range jumpers in practice

Humphries and Gooden are the love children of Flip and Wittman. They shoot that 22 foot jumpshot so often.

Paul Pierce throws a wrench into it... he's shooting 8 threes per 36 minutes in the last handful of games

:dead: the eye holes in the hat.

I can understand not living off the 3, but if had steph curry or klay thompson, you're damn right i'm setting up 3 point plays.
He'd probably give them a 3 card. Probably.

Now if Draymond Green wanted to shoot it every Warrior would run suicides til they had no rubber soles on their feet
