Well I don't know the USA history that much (which is logical obviously) but I know a little about Jim Crow laws which de jure established segregation in the South (or was it in the entire US ?). I don't know though if it was about Whites/non-Whites ("colored" ?) or non-Blacks/Blacks so I have no knowledge about how Hispanics were treated in that era though the difference wouldn't matter regarding Black people.

But I don't know why we having this convo because I did agree that this bill could be used against minorities. I was only voicing my surprise considering you put a title about "black children" but reading the article in question I was reading only about religious and LGBT people in it and that's why I modified the title.

this country gets stranger by the day, A part of me really wish we could establish a religious state for those who really want to live like that, I bet they all abandon it within a few years
