A Florida man who was “negligently handling” a gun accidentally shot and killed his roommate, according to police.
Anthonny Mendez, 23, was arrested Friday after roommate Savannah Threatts was found dead in their Kissimmee home, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
Police said Mendez was “negligently handling a firearm and ultimately shot” Threatts.
Her exact injuries are unclear but police said she was dead when they arrived at the home.
Mendez has been charged with manslaughter, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and violation of probation and is being held without bond at the Osceola County Jail.
