In Florida, drug dealers accept dogs as payment.
Wayne Junior Barfield, 38, was arrested last week after surveillance video caught him putting a $1,600 Yorkshire terrier down his shirt and leaving Largo-based pet store All About Puppies, according to police.
After leaving the pet store, Barfield reportedly traded the nine-week-old Yorkie for crack and cash, according to WTSP.
The two-pound puppy has still not been found and Barfield refused to give the name of his buyer.
Barfield was charged with grand theft, resisting an officer and not having a valid license. His bail was set at more than $5,000.
All About Puppies is offering a $1,000 reward for any information that leads to the return of the Yorkie.
