Chief Deputy State Attorney Ric Ridgway, from whom Isaacs sought advice, identified the KKK as the hate group.

"It's not a crime to be a member of the KKK, even if you are the deputy chief. It's not a crime to be stupid," Ridgway said, in a previous interview. "It's not a crime to hate people. It may be despicable, it may be immoral, but it's not a crime."

but it is a crime to be a skinny black kid walking home though:patrice:

this is more common than reported. a lot of former kkk chapters have rebranded themselves as "white nationalist" groups or militias under less auspicious names. this way they aren't as blatant and associated with the history of the kkk name.

comparing the kkk to the naacp is some foul sh1t since their missions and histroy aren't even close to being comparable.

the messed up thing is these cops will probably resign and find a job one county over doing the same thing. no integrity or accountability in law enforcement imo.
